the spiral, the double helix, Da-Sein

What happens when we draw spirals until the pen reaches the center and you know that the spiral which you are drawing actually continues on in theory and so defies the space in which it has been constructed yet you go on drawing even though your hand cannot make a smaller movement and the ballpoint pen can never be smaller than itself and you can neither mimic the sensation you feel nor the concept you understand
you are merely at the center

Finishing with a dot. And telling yourself in your mind
“Ah, but it goes on ad infinitum,
And you do not.”
